Next Scheduled Airpark Meeting - April 15th, 2012
 Our association meetings are normally held the 1st Sunday in April, August, and December each year. However, our April meeting date has tentatively been changed to Sunday, April 15th, 2012 due to several airpark members planning to attend the Sun 'n Fun Fly-in from March 27 through April 1, 2012. Check here periodically for further updates.
Airpark Work Day Scheduled - April 21st, 2012
 Although it is still some time away, our next scheduled airpark workday is for Saturday, April 21st, 2012.

Airpark Hosts Local EAA Chapter Event - June 12, 2011

June 12th Social Event

Gilbert Airpark (SC45) hosted a joint social event with the Tree Top Flyers, local EAA Chapter 1467, on June 12, 2011. The lunch featured hamburgers, hotdogs, various covered dishes, vegetables, fruit, and several delicious desserts. Six planes flew in. In spite of the hot weather, everyone appeared to have a great time. For photos taken by chapter photographer, Eddie Price, click the thumbnail above.

Past Work Days at the Airpark

The last airpark work day was held on Saturday, September 12th, 2009. We began about 8:30am cleared the rest of the area on Downwind Leg Road near Jack's residence up to Final Approach Road. We also downed several trees near the edges of Final Approach Road, which were of concern for aircraft on the approach to runway 27. Then, we began clearing the brush beside Upwind Leg Road across from the Mosely residence. Around noon, we finished the day's work and broke for lunch.

The group (shown left to right) consisted of: George Flanagan, Mardon Collins, Don Collins, Dan Smith (partially hidden), Tom Sanders (also hidden), Debbie Hardy (standing), Dave Hardy, Randy Berry, Dan Snow, Carla Snow (partially hidden), Jack McGlumphy, and Sonja Lumpkin.
